The Moon: 1.5 ft to Infinity

A sequence of 9 photographs of the full moon taken one after another from the same spot, with the same parameters of exposition. Then the focal length changes with each photograph.

What we are looking at, is the space, space between us and the moon (with the moon in the background). At first, we are looking 1,5 ft away from us, then 3 ft, then 5 ft…and eventually infinity. Our gaze is moving forward as if on a journey. The moon becomes a dream, a kind of background for this journey towards a place as difficult to reach as the horizon.
